JIS K 7210 is the Japanese Industrial Standard for measuring the melt flow performance of thermoplastics, commonly reported as melt flow rate. To match this to your program, talk with our team.
What JIS K 7210 Covers
It measures how easily a molten thermoplastic flows under a defined temperature and load, reported as the melt mass-flow rate (MFR) or melt volume-flow rate (MVR), an indicator of molecular weight and processability.
How the Test Is Run
The polymer is melted in a heated barrel and extruded through a die under a specified load, and the mass or volume flowing in a set time gives the melt flow rate.
