What ISO 8513 Measures
The test loads a GRP pipe or specimen along its axis to determine longitudinal tensile strength and elongation, which govern how the pipe handles axial loads such as bending and thermal movement.
How the Test Is Run
An axial specimen from the pipe is pulled in tension until failure, and strength and ultimate elongation are calculated from the load, cross-section, and measured strain.
Preparing Specimens
