EN 10045 — Charpy Impact Test (Metallic Materials)

← Back to all standards

EN 10045 is a European standard series associated with Charpy impact testing of metals. It has been superseded by the harmonized EN ISO 148 series, so new work references those. To match this to your program, talk with our team.

What EN 10045 Covered

The series defined the Charpy V-notch impact test and the verification of impact machines for metals. Its content moved into the current EN ISO 148 parts.

Current Replacement

Use DIN EN ISO 148-1 (equivalently EN ISO 148-1) for the test method and ISO 148-2 for machine verification. Legacy EN 10045 references map onto these.
